appliances and electronics with smart energy-saving features. The
exhibit also incorporated air conditioning and solar solutions from LG.
Alternative gas station chain Propel and algal fuel creator
Solarzyme are working together on a limited-market pilot project to
sell "Soladiesel" next to Propel's regular diesel fuel at the chain's
pumps. Soladiesel contains 20 percent algae oil and produces
significantly less pollutants than regular diesel. Sales at Propel's
stations in California and Washington over the next month will provide
real life supply chain research about customer choices and use of
biodiesel. Solazyme has more than $100 million in funding and is
building a biofuel plant in Brazil.
